Launch platforms for new products
A launchpad is not a directory submission. Directories index you quietly for months; launchpads rank one day's cohort. Without an audience to show up on launch day, you are posting into a void whether the board has ten thousand readers or ten.
Save launchpads for when you have something to point at them: a mailing list, a Discord, a few customers willing to comment. The broader submit-order guide puts them after your category directories and buyer-intent review sites for a reason — the week before a launch is better spent on those than rehearsing a countdown to nobody.
Product Hunt is the outlier on audience size and the norm on link value: high domain rating, nofollow, and a submission path we could not verify without an account on our last check. That does not make it the wrong choice — it makes the link a footnote. Smaller boards like Uneed, MicroLaunch, and Peerlist trade reach for lower friction and, where our table shows it, follow links. None of that ranks them as “best.” They solve different problems at different stages. See the Product Hunt entry for link type and check notes.
The table below is the same live collection as our full directory list, filtered to launchpads only. We do not add a row until we have confirmed the submission page loads. We also do not list a product on List Maro that the maker did not send — if your tool is missing here, submit it first.

Questions before you pick a launch day
When is a launchpad the right move, and when should I just submit to directories?
Directories are for permanent presence: a buyer researching your category finds you months later. Launchpads are for a spike on one day. If you have no audience to mobilize — no email list, no community, no social following — a quiet directory submit will do more over time than posting to a board no one is watching. Do the directories first; save the launch for when you can coordinate it.
What does a coordinated launch day actually mean?
You pick a date, tell your network it is happening, and show up online when the listing goes live: upvotes, comments, shares, replies to questions. Launchpads rank the day's cohort, so a product with thirty supporters beats a better product with three. The date matters less than whether anyone is looking at that board on that day.
How should I think about Product Hunt versus smaller launchpads?
Product Hunt has the largest launch-day audience in this category and a nofollow link. Smaller pads — Uneed, MicroLaunch, Peerlist, Fazier, TinyLaunch — trade reach for lower friction and, where our table shows it, dofollow links. This is not a ranking of which is best. Product Hunt fits a well-prepared public launch; a smaller pad may fit a first ship when you want feedback from other makers without treating the day like a main event.
When does paying to skip the queue make sense on a launchpad?
Only where the live listing shows a paid fast track. On this page, that is Uneed: a free slot sits in a multi-week queue and paid slots skip it. Paying buys scheduling, not a guarantee of traffic or votes. If your reason to pay is link equity alone, read what the row shows for link type first — most high-reach launchpads are nofollow regardless.
Will launching on these platforms improve my Google rankings?
No promises here. A follow link from a smaller pad passes some signal; Product Hunt's link does not. Neither replaces product quality, content, or links earned elsewhere. Launch for audience and feedback, not pagerank — and read follow vs nofollow directory links if link type is the question you are actually trying to answer.
Why is Product Hunt's link marked nofollow?
Because that is what their rendered markup shows. Product Hunt is worth being on for launch-day visibility and brand-name search presence, not because the link passes ranking signal. Our last automated check hit a login wall on the submit path, so we confirmed the live launch page and link rel from the public side — we did not open their submission form.
Why do some launchpads show no domain rating?
Blank means we have confirmed the submission page works but have not audited the outbound link's authority yet. We show the gap rather than invent a number — same rule as the rest of our directory list.
