Copyright and Takedown

Last updated 4 August 2026 · List Maro

1. What we host

List Maro is a directory of SaaS products. Listings may include product names, descriptions, website URLs, logos, and screenshots submitted by users or added during editorial review. Third-party logos and product imagery appear so visitors can recognise the products being listed; that nominative use is described further in section 7.

This page explains how to report copyright infringement. The Service is governed by Indian law (see our Terms of Service) and may be hosted in part outside India, including in the United States. Notices may therefore be framed under US DMCA practice, Indian intermediary rules, or both.

2. What a notice should include

To help us act quickly, send a written notice that includes as much of the following as possible:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works)
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including the exact URL(s) on listmaro.com
  • Your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury (where applicable) that you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed
  • Your physical or electronic signature

3. Where to send it

Email: hello@listmaro.com

Subject line: use Copyright notice or DMCA notice so we can prioritise it. You may also write to [REGISTERED ADDRESS], addressed to the Grievance Officer named below.

4. What we do on receipt

When we receive a complete notice, we will review it promptly. Where appropriate we will remove or disable access to the material and may notify the uploader or account holder associated with the listing or comment. Incomplete notices may be returned for clarification and can delay action.

5. Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address including: your contact details; identification of the material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury (where applicable) that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; consent to the jurisdiction of the courts specified in our Terms; and your signature.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant seeks a court order restraining us, in accordance with applicable law and our risk assessment.

6. Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright may be suspended or terminated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who abuses the notice process.

7. Trademarks

Naming a product and showing its logo or screenshots in a directory listing is typically nominative fair use / descriptive use so that visitors can identify the product. Brand owners who believe a listing is confusing, false, or otherwise infringing may still request removal or correction by emailing hello@listmaro.com with the listing URL and the basis of the complaint.

8. India-specific notes

As an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000, we rely on the safe-harbour framework in section 79, subject to due diligence and compliance with applicable rules. Under the IT Rules, 2021 Rule 3(2)(a) and related provisions, certain complaints are subject to statutory timelines. Our Grievance Officer will acknowledge grievances within twenty-four (24) hours and dispose of them within fifteen (15) days.
