About List Maro
We are early-stage, and we say so
List Maro is still building its catalog, independent voting community, referral volume, and authority. Founders should use it for a maintained product profile and an additional discovery surface—not as a guaranteed traffic or SEO channel.
Why use another directory?
Because most launch pages go stale. We are building profiles around useful buyer context: structured features, pricing notes, best-for guidance, explicit category rationales, review dates, transparent moderation, and direct correction requests. Established directories may offer a larger audience today; List Maro aims to offer a cleaner, more accountable record alongside them.
Every listing is reviewed
Nothing publishes automatically. A person reads each submission before it appears, which is what keeps the directory worth browsing and stops it filling up with scraped filler.
Ranking is community-driven
Sparse categories are ordered by freshness and explicitly say that ranking is not established. Numbered rankings begin only after the published evidence thresholds are met. Owners, makers, employees, agencies, claimants, and same-domain accounts cannot self-vote. Read the complete methodology.
What paid placement buys
A paid placement buys a labelled position and the opportunity for direct referral traffic. It does not buy editorial approval, favorable copy, votes, verification, organic rank, or meaningful SEO authority. Paid links carry rel="sponsored".
We also list our competitors
A directory that pretends it is the only one worth being in is not being straight with you. We keep a public, re-checked list of every startup directory worth submitting to, including the ones we compete with — with the domain rating, the link type, and what each one actually costs. Submit to those too.
