How we make money
List Maro is a curated directory of SaaS products. When paid placement is available, revenue comes from those placements — not from selling votes, review outcomes, or ordinary editorial follow links.
In plain words: a paid placement buys visibility — a labelled sponsored slot for a fixed window on the right rail, which is the only thing we sell. It does not buy a guaranteed rank forever, a guaranteed number of clicks, a dofollow link, or the verified tick.
What paid placement is — and is not
- Paid placements are labelled. Featured or otherwise paid slots are marked so you can tell them apart from organic listings.
- Paid links are sponsored. Outbound links on paid placements use
rel="sponsored". Our database is constrained so a paid plan cannot carry a dofollow link. - Votes are not for sale. Community upvotes remain a separate signal. Paying does not add votes to a listing.
- Review outcomes are not for sale. Every submission waits its turn in the same queue, and paying does not shorten it. Listings that fail our standards are declined whether or not money has changed hands.
- The verified tick is not for sale. It means someone proved they control the product’s domain. It is earned by a check we run, and no payment grants it.
- Free listings stay free. Submitting a tool for ordinary editorial review does not require payment.
Editorial listings
We may add or curate listings ourselves as part of building a useful directory. Those editorial listings are not paid placements. Where we mark content as editorial or staff-added, that mark is intentional.
Affiliate links
We do not currently run an affiliate program and do not use affiliate tracking links on listing outbound URLs. If we introduce affiliate relationships later, we will update this disclosure in the same change that ships them.
Why this page exists
Clear disclosure helps you evaluate the directory fairly. This page is written to align with the spirit of the US FTC’s endorsement guides and ASCI’s guidance on advertising disclosures in India: material connections that affect ranking or visibility should be obvious.
