Product Hunt alternatives (launchpads, not another directory list)

When smaller launchpads beat Product Hunt, what the tradeoffs actually are, and the live launchpad table — same data as our launchpads hub, re-checked, no invented rankings.

You searched for Product Hunt alternatives. Fair — most founders do, eventually. The honest answer is not a single replacement site. It is a different category of place: launchpads rank one day's cohort; directories index you quietly for months. Product Hunt is the biggest launchpad in the set. The rest are smaller boards that trade reach for lower friction and, where our table shows it, follow links.

This post is the search landing for that question. The launchpads hub goes deeper on timing and FAQ. Here we stay on the comparison: what launchpads are for, how Product Hunt fits, and the live collection below.

Launchpads are not directory submissions

A directory listing is passive. Someone researching your category finds you six months later. A launchpad is a spike on one day: upvotes, comments, shares, replies. Without an audience to show up when the listing goes live, you are posting into a void whether the board has ten thousand readers or ten.

That is why where to submit your SaaS puts launchpads after your category directories and buyer-intent review sites. The week before a launch is better spent on those than rehearsing a countdown to nobody.

How to read Product Hunt in the table

Product Hunt is the outlier on audience size and the norm on link value: high domain rating, nofollow, and a submission path we could not verify without an account on our last check. That does not make it the wrong choice — it makes the link a footnote. You launch there for launch-day visibility and brand-name search presence, not because the listing will move your domain rating.

Smaller pads — Uneed, MicroLaunch, Peerlist, Fazier, TinyLaunch — trade reach for lower friction and, where our table shows it, follow links. None of that ranks them as "best." They solve different problems at different stages. If link type is the column you care about, read dofollow vs nofollow directory links with the full catalogue; this page stays on launchpads only.

What the embed shows

The table below is the same live collection as /directories/type/launchpads: domain rating, link type, cost, and when we last confirmed the submission page still worked. Sponsored placements on those sites are labelled. We do not invent DR or check dates — blank means we have not audited that field yet, not that we guessed.

We also do not list a product on List Maro that the maker did not send. If your tool is missing from our directory, submit it first.

A sane way to pick your launch day

  1. Do the quiet work first. Category directories and review sites compound whether or not anyone upvotes you on launch day.
  2. Pick a board that matches your stage. Product Hunt fits a well-prepared public launch; a smaller pad may fit a first ship when you want feedback from other makers without treating the day like a main event.
  3. Read the row, not the hype. Cost, link type, and whether the form still loads matter more than a DR number copied from a roundup.
  4. Coordinate or skip. A launch without supporters beats no launch; a launch to nobody twice does not.

What we are not claiming

This page does not promise traffic, rankings, or acceptance. It does not rank launchpads as "best." It puts the live launchpad collection in front of you and points to the launchpads hub when you need the longer playbook.

For the broader submit order — what paid services sell, how to write descriptions that survive forms — read where to submit your SaaS. For the follow column across the whole catalogue, read dofollow vs nofollow directory links.
