About API.market
API.market is an API marketplace and proprietary hosted MCP gateway for developers and AI agents. Connect using Streamable HTTP at https://api.market/api/mcp/gateway. The five MCP tools are search_apis, get_api_tools, call_api, check_usage and manage_subscription, for discovering APIs, inspecting available operations, making API calls and managing usage and subscriptions. An API.market account is required with OAuth or API-key authentication. Free tiers, paid plans and limits vary by API; API calls and subscription changes may incur charges. What API.market does
- One gateway
- An agent connects once, over Streamable HTTP at api.market/api/mcp/gateway, with OAuth or an API key.
- Search then call
- The hosted tools let an agent find an API, read its operations, call it, check usage, and manage a subscription.
- Wallet billing
- Most APIs include a free tier. Paid calls draw from a wallet, and each API sets its own price.
- Browse first
- Setup snippets can be copied before you sign in. Calling an API still needs an account, and OAuth does not skip usage charges.
Who it’s for
Developers who want an agent to call many third-party APIs through one MCP server. Skip it if you need the gateway source, or one vendor's official API. The hosted server is not open source.
What it costs
There is no single subscription for the gateway. The MCP page says most APIs have a free tier and paid use is pay-as-you-go from a wallet. Each API prints its own price: some per call, some monthly, some a one-time purchase. OAuth does not waive those charges.
