Submit the first oneHow to choose hospitality software
Buy hospitality software when you operate a place. Hotels, restaurants, venues, and lodging businesses use it to run the property, take reservations, sell at the point of sale, or message guests. The place itself is not a product in this category. A rooms page, a menu, opening hours, or a control that books this property is the business speaking as that place.
Start with the system of record. Property management, reservations, and the point of sale each want to own the guest, the booking, or the check. If two products both claim that record, staff re-enter the same stay or the same ticket. Choose the one system the others must follow. Add guest messaging and the register only after that choice is settled.
What to compare
The export is the test that the record is really yours. You should be able to leave with reservations, guest profiles, menus, and sales history in a file another system can import. A screen that shows the data and will not give it back is a lock-in.
Check who the buyer is. This category is for the operator who adopts software, with a signup, a demo, pricing, or a feature list. Guest-facing booking of one property is that property's own site.
Confirm that rooms, tables, or tickets share one inventory, and that the register posts to the same record as the reservation. Guest messaging belongs here when the operator installs it as software. A contact form on a hotel website does not.
A staffing agency or a consultancy with nothing a buyer adopts stays out. Compare the system of record and the export before you compare screens.
